hi. when I host a custom map made by myself, it always looks like only 1 person gets in and he can play, but the next people who enter just stay in spec.. this is weird because why can the first person that enters play and the rest not? everyone just stays in spec, i guess its a bug/glitch or they got some sort of error mesage downloading my map.. its not the maxplayers because I've set it to 8 and only the FIRST person who enters my map is able to get into a team and play, but the rest just stay in spec and get disconnected etc. ive tried this atleast 10 times and now im sure that its that situation.
Any reason why the first guy can play but the rest cant download my map/cant play for some reason? So far i was only able to play against 1 guy on any of my maps but not more. (and yes it was different guys, so its not only 1 same guy that joins my map).

Yea, as DC and the game itself says, there are still some obvious bugs.

One partial-solution I've found is running a custom map server using the dedicated server tool generally allows multiple people to download the map, and not just one person. Without the dedicated the first person to join is the only one who can successfully make a connection.

And you can join your own dedicated server, as long as you set the server port to something other than 36963 (I usually use 36966). But I think in max you can also change your client udp port as well, so just as long as your client and server udp's are different.

EDIT:

Ignore what I guessed up there. I've done some more testing, and it appears maptransfer will only give a file to a single client if there is only one file to give (i.e. if the only resource required for the map is the *.map file). My hypothesis is the map transfer doesn't like sending the same file repeatedly to different clients at the same time. When there is more than one resource to send (like a *.map and *.txt), it alternates between them, thus it is never trying to send the same file twice.
