This is going to be a bit of an off-topic post, but I simply do not understand the toxicity in this thread. The OP is a newcomer to the modding scene and he's trying things out by developing a zombie mod. Does it have tonnes of new ideas? No, probably not, but that's okay - it's fine to do things that have already been done, and it's even better if you add a few of your own ideas, which he has done.

user Baloon and to some degree user Masea talk about "how to be successful", but it's a rather thin veil for what is essentially demoralisation, and it got thinner as it went on. Is there truth to what user Baloon says? Yes, there is, but this whole "brutal facts-only honesty" is rather succinctly described by the famous expression that "people who are brutally honest are more interested in being brutal than honest". To the above quoted post in particular - it's been less than a week since user _Vava_ last posted, so wouldn't you agree that he's allowed to take his time to work on it and present features as they're ready? There's no need to say that he's given up as if you're putting words into his mouth.

We were all OP at some point, and while I wasn't making threads at the time because I didn't feel my projects were worth showing off (and I still don't exactly think people should make threads about projects they're developing as exercise), user _Vava_ does - and we as a community should offer support and advice, including constructive criticism, instead of blatant demoralisation and demands for immediate feedback.
