Hello.

I have been facing some problems with cs2d recently. CS2D was working perfectly fine untill It started lagging a lot. Just like that. No actual reason. FPS drops all the time, every 10 seconds I have massive FPS drop to 30/35. It has started around 3,5 months ago. The reason why I am typing this now is because I wanted to play again and just can't.

I even considered the fact that It started 1-2 days after I installed Geforce Experience from Nvidia, but even after deleting it and restoring drivers manually, It didn't help at all.

CS2D is also working fine on a small window screen. However I am not used to play like that and I prefer a lot to use fullscreen mode.

I have to also say that my laptop is able to run GTA V on High/Ultra settings, Witcher 3 on High settings, CSGO @ 180/200 fps (before that stupid revolver update, now I've got like 40/50 fps drop, but still).

Things I've tried to repair my cs2d and didn't work.

√ Reinstall CS2D - did it multiple times.
√ Settings set to lowest
√ I even tried the highest possible settings - still the same
√ Using OpenGL
√ Setting priority in the manager to higher/highest
√ I even tried to run it with the compatibility mode with XP/vista etc.
√ Run it as administrator, changing resolution on my own screen, trying to make the cs2d only procces that consumes my memory

Those things didn't help.

However I am not willing to do:

× I am not going to reinstall my windows just for cs2d.

If you have any idea how I am able to fix it, I'd be glad.

Obviously if you updated your drivers, try to format your computer, keeping the most important data to avoid losing them.

I dont think format the computer is necessary ehm..
if this (My computer>Properties>Tools and click Check for Errors.) didnt work i would reinstall cs2d and maybe use another launcher

When does your FPS drop; on a server, on a map, or everywhere?

Everywhere,

Guys I said I am not willing to do format of my system. If You don't have any other idea how to fix it, I just won't.

What about new game (local)? If you can run any other game smoothly, I highly doubt it's CS2D itself.

• What did you chance before that happened?
Windows Update? Driver update? One easy (but not perfect) way to handle this would be to undo these changes.

• Also try the launcher (in your CS2D folder) and try OpenGL and DirectX and window and fullscreen as settings in all combinations.

Is it a laptop ? If so, see if optimus isn't forcing your computer to use the integrated graphics card (even though it might be enough to handle CS2D well anyway)

CS2D is dropping fps even on menu. Like i said, it drops fps everywhere.

@user DC: Cs2d was working fine untill I installed Geforce Experience, because I needed that for other games like Gta v or witcher. And yes - Ive already tried to uinstall this. It didnt help. Cs2d was still lagging.

I also already tried to run launcher with different options. The only way it doesnt lag is to run it in small windowed mode. But like I said in my first post (i also typed that already tried that...nvm) i dont like playing in a small screen.

@user _Yank: It does force to use integrated intel card, but I tried to run it with geforce gtx and it doesnt help.

These probably won't help much, but since you are not willing to format, might as well do it.
• Defragment hard drive
• Use CCleaner (or similar app) and clean the registry
• Do a virus scan
• Check your NVidia Control Panel, make sure it's not forcing any 3D settings on programs (i.e. Let the 3D application decide)

Also, is the slowdown issue affecting other games as well? And do you play CS2D in 640x480 fullscreen?

Launch Task Manager and check for multiply processes activity which may consume ram and CPU, also check your specs and post there up here. Be sure that spec match original that you have or had, that can be caused by dead memory module.

EDIT: Search for GeForce Experience streaming service and turn it off, because it may not be deleted

As he said, he runs other games totally fine, this only happens on CS2D. So, I can't see how defragmenting the hard drive or similar would help. I have geforce experience aswell and somehow I also have a problem similar to that when running Carnage Contest (however when I go fullscreen it works normally.)

I run every other game without any problems. The only problem I have is with CS2D.

@user Assassin moder: I did this multimple times and once except windows processes, cs2d was the only one working. Still got nothing.

@user Cure Pikachu: I checked nvidia panel and it doesn't.
BTW. How cleaning registry would affect my laptop?
As I said, Its only in cs2d. Yes I do play with 640x480 fullscreen.

Follow these ways:

> get CCLeaner.
> Get a new computer then if not working?
> Clean up your computer if CCLeaner doesn't work for ya

Oh, Try this: If you have Windows7/8/9 system and your computer doesn't support them then get the supported system.

The issue most likely lies with his graphic hardware/drivers/settings. It is most likely not related to his device's speed. Cleaning registries, freeing up space, scanning for viruses, updating OS won't fix the issue.

Yeah, I'm sure it is a driver setting issue..

@user KDMRL: How do you know it runs on the GPU when you set it to ?
