I'm trying to add some music files of old Elvis Presley onto CS2D but it says it failed to load the sound.

Any reason for this? The file is only 500 kb

The default file size limit is <250kB. Change the setting in option > net

I'm aware it supports .wav and ogg only, I've got these .wav files, I'll be trying oops321's suggestion, thank you.

EDIT: Had nothing to do with NET bars download limits and stuff I believe.

It still doesn't let me upload the .wav file which is 500 kb :/.

Simply says failed to load sound, yet I can launch it on pc.

Hopefully DC has a solution.

Did you tried to change the extension of .wav to .ogg?

If not then try it to see if it works, otherwise i think you need to split this music file to the default 250kB.

Just changing the file extension in the file name doesn't change anything at all and is useless.

I suggest to actually CONVERT the file contents from wav to ogg. You can do that with free tools like http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
This will probably also reduce the file size.

Problem: wav is a container format which can use many different encodings and some of those are not supported by CS2D. ogg however should always work.

Try to use the sound in listen server and see if it works.

@user DC: Does CS2D support 32-bit uncompressed wav?

Lol, lucky me, I actually took upon converting the wavs to .ogg instead before DC suggested and it worked marvelously!

Thank you for the help, helped me a lot towards making the map a bit better.

(Also sorry for that other topic I posted, I probably spammed the button too hard accidentally.)
