J4x: Not really. PC is more suitable for work, but consoles are mainly for games.

Any PC, even a gaming one, is also very much suitable for work, and the funny thing is - depending on the field of work, the better the gaming specs the better work abilities - e.g. if working with video, a gaming PC is very good for that. So yeah, a console can't be used for work; any PC, on the contrary, can.

Consoles have their own hardware. You can't compare console specs to PC specs. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Same manufacturer doesn't mean the same thing.
You can use consoles for work just fine. You need to know how to bypass certain security measures. Which I am not going to discuss here.
Nah, just kidding. I can't choose: ps3 or xbox360. Ps3 is more cheap, xbox has better graphics
