I would go for Altair in terms of skill but Ezio in terms of character development.
They have spend more time with ezio in game so....Yeah.
Altair would be more skilled because he is a badass and also because he came first.
The first guy (from the 1st game I mean) sucks ... He does not act as an assassin at all ... he should have been a beaker or something ...
But back to the topic ... I think that Altair wold not stand any chance since Ezio wold just kill him in its sleep ...

He wasn't beaker. He has friend beaker. (As i remember, folk :P.)

I am sure his beaker friend wold have made a way more interesting Assassin then Altair ... btw I see Altair as Edward (from twilight) ... Assassins and Vampire used to be cool man ...
I only have the first one, Played a bit of brotherhood, AC II definitly has more weapons and tools that Ezio can use, I think Altiar is a much better assassin though if he had all Ezio's tools, even minus the second hidden blade, he goes through alot of trials, beating Al-Mualim and becoming the grandmaster of the brotherhood till he died, without Altiar, Ezio would be a mindless zombie.
I have written:
Ezio got two knifes Altair got only one.
Therefor Ezio wins.
Were you paying attention to the game?
The scroll that got him two knifes was made by Altair[/quote]Well, yea I don't know much about Assassin's creed. My friend owns the game I've seen him play it but I do not have it myself and haven't played it therefor I have no knowledge about the game, sorry. I will try to avoid making further mistakes... my bad.
