I'm sure cs2d.net and cs2dworld will offer servers for this feature with high quality, we just need @ SQ: or another guy to finish the feature.
The gfx thing DC can help with that I guess and about the cheater problem we can handle this with demo reviews with expert people and using a system similar to vac (?).
But it doesnt mean that they should meet their needs. Is not paid tho.
Anyway I'm pretty sure that this comminity wil help to fundraising for Competetive Mix/Making.
Where this help have been when SQ asked for it? The said before words contradict with these you say.
@ slimK: You can pay them to finish it, or help yourself if you want it. Is too easy to say :"go make competitive in cs2d))", meanwhile waiting and asking why is not done yet
No, i mean that if you(not actually, exactly you..) force people to do something without any help(what actually hard), you should want to give something back. I dont think that SQ very want to spend his free time for coding and graphics and sounds to add custom thing in cs2d, except keep us with already nice updates and optimization that we all have for free.
Let's not lose the hype guys, and let's try to organize ourselves a bit about this.
Please, please do not let this idea of comp matchmaking die, I feel like it will end up forgotten like the rest of ideas of the past few years, let's not commit that mistake.
He was lowkey asking for payment in other threads and in the Discord. No one really took notice.
And he didn't contact me.. or anyone. Aha, and at skype he said that he would make the GFX solo because he's photographer and he can do it better, rofl.
I asked help in US, Discord and PCS forum. Everyone just requested for features rather than actually help. I've already spent too much time on refining CS2D. Competitive mode required way more work/maintaining and I said that people could at least donate if they really want to see that feature. After noticing how community are "Supportive" I stopped developing, I don't have any time now to work on this.
@ Gaios: There ain't really way you can help, you can't make any good graphics, nor you could write any related competitive code there.
...and I said that people could at least donate if they really want to see that feature.
I only saw you asking for gfx stuff not money for the feature, I wouldn't mind to donate but aleast make a official threat with dc support instead of asking each person.
Actually what to do with competitive mode? It's CS2D not CSGO or something else. Why people ask it so much, i really do not understand. Somethings about CS2D should stay the same, if you do not enjoy playing it, simply delete it; go play something else.
@ Yates: I didn't belong to pcs staff in december I think so I couldn't saw the internal thread (or mabye I forgot idk).
Doesn't matter anyway, for now I want a official threat in US.de with dc support instead of asking each one in pm. Not I don't trust SQ but is just to prevent scams or a attempt to use the money and don't work for the feature.
Plus is good to have a thread to give feedback anf watch the progress.
If SQ does not want to develop it why don't we look for other person willing to take care of it, i doubt you can actually need ''money'' to create competitive game mode, it sounds stupid in my point of view futhermore nobody would donate for this game nowadays.
I don't really think we would need a competitive gamemode anyway, who would play it? It will be always full of hackers like csgo plus kids, i'd leave the game like this to avoid future issues
I did worked on arcade mode of competitive at least for first version.
It tracks global ranking/elo score rules, did some solutions on hacking.
Matches were divided into similar power teams depending on their elo score. It's a lot of work there.
'i doubt you can actually need ''money'' to create competitive game mod"
This community totally does not understand that everything costs, even free games actually cost developers money/time even if it's their hobby.
The same reason why it usually took 1 year for a regular CS2D update, no one really expected anything anymore.
