§4.4 - Titles/texts in capital letters are impolite and undesiredBcs it's not completely Counter-Strike 1.6 and developer is not valve but DC.
You are not interested in a grenade launcher and a flamethrower?

Removed unnecessary quote. / GeoB99I can't wait for it to become popular!
Because nowadays CS2D is not meant to simply be a topdown 2D clone of CS 1.6. In my opinion, that's one of the best things about CS2D, the fact that it can not just emulate a game most of us loved in a different perspective and dimensions, but also allow for even more things. CS2D would be nothing if it was a strict 2D clone without any relevant extra features to make it stand out.
So hooray to laser gun, hooray to Construction mode, hooray to anything that makes CS2D a fun unique game, not just a boring clone.
The laser sound effect came from Half Life 1 so I assume he combined all source games like Team Fortress's wrench and more...

Hmm. Sure? The laser sound effect came from Half Life 1
Edit:Sorry for off-topic.

CS2D has been greenlit by Valve today!
Thanks again to everyone who made this possible!
I'll check what's required to actually put the game on Steam. The current version (1.0.0.3) will NOT be put on Steam because I want to fix/improve some things first. A new version will be prepared for that. I might even add some Steam features there but I can't promise anything at this point.
I don't know yet until when all this will happen but I'll keep you updated.

Finally! been here since 2013. Great to see CS2D is still going strong!
The solution was to install
libopenal-devlibrary and set the sound driver setting Automatic / Default to OpenAL or the like. May would be a possibility to implement the package on Steam installer? Like when you download the game and launch it for the first time Steam checks for missing packages, if there are.
Take Terraria for example. Once the user launches that game for the first time and does not have the required XNA redistributable necessary for the game to work properly Steam automatically installs it for you.
