Every server owner can adjust the setting if he doesn't like it. Changing the default setting to higher would do more bad than good. I'm sure DC decided that '2' is optimal based on the player base.

it will barely matter if u have 300 ms because u cant move anywhere meaningfully different in 100 ms time

- repair map-vote function. I'm not sure if it even works with standard 2d maps, but I know for sure that it's never been possible to vote a custom map (located in the certain server ofc)
- reduce the time to throw a HEgren after switching from a gun. I think it's a bit too long, doesn't make any nice HEgren plays possible.
- change the bullet particles on "high". The bullet spread is way too much, I always play on particle option "very low" only because of that. Eyes get confused and you can't locate well where random shots are coming from.
- reduce the price of submachineguns, maybe players won't just play with AK or M4 and competetive gameplay related to money management will be on a higher level. Just reducing the price by 100-300 would make a huge difference and a better playstyle.
I don't know if the prices in the original Counter-Strike are exactly like the prices in 2d atm, but I don't think these 2 games should be identical and compared with eachother.
- buff XM1014 or nerf M3. M3 way better than the XM, and it's almost half the price.
- server command option to completley freeze the game till the game gets reactivated by the command. Could help in competetive scene if someone loses connection. Atm it's only possible to set freezetime I think to max 30 seconds.
- reduce the price of the smokegren. There are many plays possible with smokes, but in competitive scene it's just too expensive related to the other grenades.
- maxclientsip setting gets resetted (I don't know if this is cs2d- or server based) after a mapchange.
- have cs2d communities (for example PCS Project) shown up as links/ partners in the cs2d menu. Will make players more competetive and grant a better community, which will affect the activity of cs2d overall in a positive way.
- standard setting for taking screenshots ingame to "100" and "PNG". We don't have wood computers anymore.
"Oh, but how can we favorite the server or join by IP?"
That's the price to play safe. Most of the players use the serverlist, and this doesn't affect at all.

Hahaha... hahahaha... No. That won't work. People can still easily get the IP, even if they don't see it ingame. Basically one click or line in the commandline Server-side option to HIDE server IP and Port. Every IP and Port string will be hidden/removed if this option is enabled. Maybe this is a solution for DDoS attacks? How can they attack if they don't know the server IP?

Since there are more people developing CS2D, maybe we should be able to suggest things that DC refused before?
I'm currently in the process of going through the entire thread, looking at what's been suggested so far and assessing the difficulty and practical usefulness of each idea. You're welcome to suggest new things, but please don't repeat suggestions that have already been posted.
