Is bothack possible?
I mean, today I was playing at iPhone's Aim server and suddenly the server got constantly by "DarkBots" and "UpraBots". They had aimbot and spinhack and sometimes spray and say messages like "WE ARE A.I. - ARTIFICIALLY INTELLIGENT".
They have latencies and stuff but act solely as bots and whenever someone votes them they suddenly vote back.
WTF?!
Has anybody experienced this? Is this really a hack?

P.S.: I try to talk with that "M4A1" guy but he didn't answer. Maybe he is the bot controller?

and once again: cs2d cmd mp_maxclientsip is the setting to protoct against things like that (IF they all joined from the same network with the same ip)

another solution would be to enable USGN only ( cs2d cmd sv_usgnonly ).

How about blocking a subnetwork? That would be good. By the way, you know, I think u6 is going to make a connection via proxy in the future.

Okay, I will give him that link so he will be available to see your comment. About subnetworks - I meant you need to improve cs2d cmd mp_maxclientsip so it won't block IP, but subnetwork. That would be more helpful.

In my opinion it would be more helpful to have less people that are trying to sabotage little freeware games with pointless hacks. it doesn't make sense. pure waste of time on EVERY side.

I do believe what they would do is de-compile the cs2d client executable to machine code, using this source they can find any type of encryption cs2d uses for sending it's packets ( if it uses encryption, never tried this myself ), then fuck around until they find the authority key and then somehow program a few bits extra that can interpret the Lua bot files ( or they could have written them from scratch..? IDK about that one though ) and finally compile it on a loose-type compiler such as MinGW or GCC 3.02 ( thats the last one I remember ).
