CS2D General damagedamage
32 repliesThe M4A1 Assault rifle, is way to overpowered. As soon as you kill a CT, all the Terrorist run after the M4a1. It's stupid.
Back in B0104, i was taking like six people out with a Mac10.
Stupid thing.
please point out the exact problems you see like diamond did

People don't only run for the M4A1 because of the damage, but also because of the accuracy. AK47 is a better choice for people who have trouble aiming, because it has a larger spray and therefore they have a larger chance to hit.
In my opinion the only weapons that need rebalancing are the smg's.

Perhaps there could be a option in CS2D where you can select which damage type you'd like. Damage like in CS2D v0.1.0.4 or like it's today optimized.
I also agree with Diamond, the M4A1 is very overpowered. I saw one CT taking me out before I took him out, I was spraying him just like he did me but he won and I was like 100% focused on killing him I swear. The damage of the M4A1 should be equal to the AK-47, otherwise perhaps it can be mathematicly calculated with rate of fire for a more precise and equal and fair amount of damage of the weapons. Not sure how that will be possible. Although the easiest solution would be to adjust the M4A1 and AK-47 to have the exact same rate of fire and damage, then all is happy on both teams.

I'm not an idiot, we all know you can change the weapon damages via scripts. What we want is to have weapon damages similar to B.0104 installed, into the next release of CS:2D by default.
I know where not suppose to make suggestions for the next release, but i have one more suggestion I'd like to add:
You know how you connect to a server, you join a team, round had just started, then you gotta wait like four minutes, before the round finishes. In B0104, you were allowed to spawn within the first 30 seconds the round started i believe. I'm pretty sure you can do that in CS1.6 & Source aswel.
TMK has got it installed on his FFA server, and i was hoping you could implement into the next version.
personally this is what i want the guns in max to be like.
btw a headshot system like in cs2dg would be great
pistols - everything is good
shotguns - lower damage, less spread
smgs - increase mac10/tmp damage. rest are fine
unscoped rifles - increase famas/galil damage. increase galil spray. keep m4 damage. increase ak damage and spray.
aug/sg552 - put unscoped damage between m4 and ak. drop scoped damage to like 30.
scout - drop damages... 2x scope damage to like 70 maybe?
rest - no change
but if i had to pick just one or two things to change, i would bump up famas/galil damage
